The ministry’s notification clearly states that failure to follow the guidelines will have serious consequences. According to the instructions, persons violating the guidelines for the first time can be imposed with a fine of Rs 2 lakh and a maximum imprisonment of 2 years.
Additionally, those who repeatedly violate the guidelines may be fined Rs 5 lakh or have to pay up to 10 times the value of the product. This initiative not only guarantees the safety of consumers but also promotes the growth of local small businesses and increases production.
